Advertising Sales Manager

Job Description:

Valpak of Los Angeles seeks an experienced advertising sales professional to join our management team. In addition to being a part of one of the most successful media teams in the direct mail industry, you would be responsible for territory(ies) in Houston and the surrounding area, a fast growing and exciting market.

This successful leader will have a minimum of 3-5 years sales experience including supervisory/management responsibilities. If you can sell with enthusiasm, have the ability to handle a number of assignments simultaneously, know how to hire, train, mentor, and motivate sales people, we would like to hear from you.

You will join a leading edge company with diverse product offerings including cooperative and solo-direct mail, and online advertising. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of products and grow with a successful management team.
As a Valpak Sales Manager, you will:
  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and motivate our Account Executives to meet business requirements and market demands
  • Monitor and manage sales activity to meet or exceed revenue and profit goals
  • Maintain effective networking in local communities to support staffing and business needs
  • Establish on-going educational programs including regular field training, sales meetings, etc.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies and incentive plans
  • Keep abreast of business and industry trends
  • Frequent local travel required
We're looking for:
  • Minimum of 3 years successful outside sales management experience required
  • Experience in media/print sales preferred
  • Strong financial analytical skills
  • Leadership and training skills
  • Computer skills
Compensation and benefits:
We offer a Competitive Base Salary + Incentive Plan, Health Allowance, Paid Holidays, Auto Allowance, Cell Phone Allowance and No Overnight Travel.
